I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Tennessee and Telehealth provider in Florida. I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology at Florida State University and then earned a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Loyola University New Orleans. I am trained in Multisystemic Family Therapy, Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Perinatal Loss and Grief.
I began working with families of adolescents in the Juvenile Justice System in New Orleans. I utilized Family Therapy to keep their children in the home and out of the criminal justice system. I continued this work in Nashville and later began working with families with children in foster care.
I understand how intimidating it can be to invite someone into your home (virtual or otherwise) and understand the importance of meeting the client, you, in a comfortable and safe setting. I am a believer in the strong working relationship between the client and therapist and how important this relationship is in order to build trust and facilitate emotional growth.
